In addition to her work with eating disorders, Danna has had experience working with individuals, couples, and families, on a variety of issues, and has utilized both brief- and long-term counseling approaches. She also enjoys working as a consultant for other therapists on issues related to eating disorders and body image.
A Louisville native, Danna received her undergraduate degree in psychology from Bellarmine University, and her Master’s Degree in clinical psychology from Spalding University. She has had over two decades of professional experience and brings to her clients a wide array of core competencies. Her spiritual life, as a Christian, informs both her work and her personal life.
Danna Delafeld is a Licensed Psychological Associate with over two decades of experience providing mental health services to individuals struggling with anxiety and mood related disorders as well as to those who have experienced trauma. While working with a wide range of anxiety and mood related issues, Danna specializes in the treatment of eating disorders and body image issues, including the treatment of Body Dysmorphic Disorder. Danna also works with relationship concerns that arise out of these types of struggles. Danna utilizes the evidence-based treatment approaches of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectal Behavior Therapy (DBT). Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Transdiagnostic Treatment (Unified Protocol).
