Clinical Experience

Her clinical training spans a variety of settings, including specialized training in treating co-morbid mental and chronic health conditions.  She received training in the Children’s Health and Illness Recovery Program, which aims to improve functioning in adolescents with chronic health conditions.  Additionally, Dr. Miller trained in both pediatric and adult inpatient facilities, led dialectical behavior therapy and cognitive behavior therapy groups for children and adults, and learned assessments for diagnostic clarification in the young adult population.

Education

Dr. Miller, a native of Louisville, KY obtained her BA from The University of Alabama.  She completed her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Spalding University in Louisville, Kentucky and her pre-doctoral internship at The University of Louisville School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics in Louisville, Kentucky.  Dr. Miller’s graduate training and her pre-doctoral internship were both accredited by the American Psychological Association.

About Me

Dr. Ellie Miller, Psy.D is a licensed clinical psychologist providing evidence-based mental health services for adolescents and young adults.  Dr. Miller’s areas of interest include treating anxiety disorders, navigating the transition into adulthood, and treating co-morbid mood and chronic health conditions. She uses Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Habit Reversal Training, Exposure and Response Prevention, The Children’s Health and Illness Recovery Program (CHIRP), and Transdiagnostic Treatment (Unified Protocol), utilizing developmentally appropriate evidence-based interventions.  Specialty areas include generalized anxiety, body focused repetitive disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and panic.
