Sports Performance and Mental Conditioning

For athletes and performance-driven individuals

This program supports athletes who struggle with anxiety, pressure, confidence, or focus during competition. Using evidence-based mental conditioning strategies, clients learn practical skills to improve performance under stress.

Common focus areas include:

  • Managing pre-competition anxiety
  • Improving focus and concentration
  • Developing effective self-talk
  • Recovering quickly from mistakes

Programs are individualized and may involve short-term focused work with optional booster sessions as needs evolve.

Parenting Anxious Children and Teens

Educational Group:

Is your child struggling with anxiety? Feeling lost on how to support and set boundaries?

What is this program?

This is a virtual evidence-based group that teaches parents how to understand anxiety, decrease accommodations, and increase support for anxious children.

Program Highlights

  • Understand the dynamics of anxiety and how it affects children
  • Learn effective strategies from trained experts to decrease accommodations and increase support
  • Connect with other parents facing similar challenges

3 virtual Zoom sessions, 1hr and 15 min (15 mins reserved for questions)

Dates: Tuesdays 5-6:30pm. Contact us for dates.

Intensive Treatment Programs

For phobias, panic attacks, and agoraphobia

Our intensive programs provide a concentrated, short-term approach for individuals seeking faster relief from fear-based symptoms. These programs use structured exposure-based treatment delivered over a brief period of time, often one week or a single extended session.

Intensive programs may be a good fit for individuals who:

  • Experience significant avoidance or functional impairment
  • Are motivated for focused, hands-on treatment
  • Need a faster pace due to work, travel, or life circumstances

Each intensive includes careful screening, collaborative planning, active exposure work, and follow-up support to help maintain progress.

Groups and Trainings

Additional support alongside individual therapy

KY Cards offers periodic groups and events designed to complement individual treatment and reinforce skills in a supportive setting.

OCD Support Group for Existing Clients

This group is designed specifically for current KY Cards clients with OCD who want additional structure, accountability, and support while practicing skills learned in therapy.

Availability varies. Interested clients can join the waitlist to be notified when the next group opens.

Training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

For mental health professionals and graduate students

KY Cards provides training opportunities for mental health professionals and graduate students who are interested in developing research-supported CBT skills.

Training is tailored to individual or organizational needs and may include:

  • CBT fundamentals
  • Exposure-based interventions
  • Case consultation
  • Skills development for anxiety and OCD treatment
